This report provides interim findings from CSH's Next Step: Jobs Initiative, a three-city Rockefeller Foundation-funded demonstration program aimed at increasing tenant employment in supportive housing. It reflects insights offered by tenants and staff from twenty organizations based in Chicago, New York City, and the San Francisco Bay Area who participated in a mid-program conference in October 1996. Topics include employing tenants on staff, best practices in job development, dealing with drug use, starting a business and other related issues. (CSH)
